Who can subscribe to OurLegalEye Premium?
Only attorneys may purchase a Premium subscription. Everyone else — anyone documenting an incident, requesting a witness, or looking for legal help — uses a free account. There is no paid tier for members of the public.
Attorneys can also choose to use a free (Freemium) account instead of Premium if they prefer.
Where do I purchase a Premium subscription?
Premium subscriptions are purchased directly through the OurLegalEye website, not inside the iOS or Android app. The app itself does not sell subscriptions or process subscription payments.
If you're an attorney with an active Premium subscription, you can sign into the app with your existing OurLegalEye account and access everything included in your subscription — the app simply provides access to a service you've already purchased on the website.
What does a Premium subscription include?
Attorneys with a Premium subscription get:
- Access to their professional dashboard
- The ability to view videos users have uploaded for attorney review
- Access to witness information submitted by users
- Contact information from users who have requested to be connected with an attorney
- The ability to message users about potential legal assistance or representation
- Tools to manage their attorney profile and account
Is OurLegalEye free for the public to use?
Yes. Anyone can create a free account to record and upload video evidence, submit witness information, and request contact with an attorney — at no cost, with no paid tier required.
Once I'm connected with an attorney, does OurLegalEye handle the legal relationship?
No. OurLegalEye facilitates the initial connection between you and an attorney. Once you and an attorney are in direct contact or have established an attorney-client relationship, everything from there — your communications and legal representation — happens independently between you and your attorney, outside the platform.
App Permissions
Here's what each permission OurLegalEye asks for is actually used for:
Camera
OurLegalEye uses your camera to record videos of incidents, preserve potential evidence, and create or update your profile photo. Videos may also be shared with attorneys for legal review and with your designated emergency contacts when you use the applicable emergency features.
Photo Library
OurLegalEye accesses your photo library so you can select videos and photos to upload as incident evidence, share with attorneys for legal review, or use as your profile photo.
Microphone
OurLegalEye uses your microphone to record audio with videos documenting incidents, preserving potential evidence and helping attorneys understand the events being documented.
Location
OurLegalEye uses your location to document where an incident took place, help you find attorneys near you, and provide location information through features you choose to use, including emergency and witness-request features.
Contacts
OurLegalEye accesses your contacts so you can select emergency contacts, choose people to share witness information with, or invite people to use the Platform.
Notifications
OurLegalEye uses notifications to alert you about video and evidence submissions, live streams, incident locations, emergency or witness-request activity, account activity, attorney responses, and other important updates.
